Week 2 - Snowstorm loses steam, but still packs a punch from Missouri to Maine

Today, east coast had enormous amounts of snow especially Michigan to New England. The article starts with family separated several days. She and her husband had 19th anniversary. Unfortunately, they had separated because of snows. She said "I want to see if the cake will last that long without melting." This snowstorm is worst weather to the people who live in east coast. Snowstorm effected power lines and its difficult to walk around whether by car or by foot.

I don't want to live in that area. I lived in California, snow gave a hope and made me delight. However living in English Village, it is a worse situation in my life. 2-3 months, I saw the snows frequently. I can understand their feelings now, I hope snowstorm can stop soon.

In 17th century, village was established by the name of James the 1st. It was a first village in history that Englishmen made. Every students will know, how difficult to create a nothing to existence. Snowstorm is one of the disasters that English experienced and first year, almost 70% of them died. We notice how difficult to breakthrough the civilization.

Week 1 - America's 'Slave Narratives' should shock us

This article is talking about the book displays and emphasizes on slavery during 30's-great depression (I think). In middle part, talks about women consumers would come around and jab in the stomach. If woman has a child, they brought  a good price.   I felt slavery was against the Christianity and man's morality after I read this article. Shot my heart hardly.

Chapter 1.3 talks about slave trades. West Africans had trade with Portuguese and other Europeans. Because of slave trades; West Africans began to fight and captured rival groups. Africans arrived in America to labor rigorously. It was one of the most tragic situations that Africans-American had.

I notice slavery and slave trade criticize human morality. After read this article, I felt slavery was a shame of human being. Remind me again to feel their pain. I want to regulate slavery to be unacceptable.
