Week 5 - Security Council OKs Syria resolution, warns of consequences

Today, UN Security Council voted unanimously late Friday to eliminate its arsenal of chemical weapons. "Today's resolution will ensure that the elimination of the Syrian chemical weapons program happens as soon as possible and with the utmost transparency and accountability," Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said. The unanimous vote caused an issue to the world but the vote was based on the Syrian government used sarin nerve gas in an August 21 attack on a Damascus suburb and it killed at least 1,400 people.
Russia ordered Syria to eliminate of its chemical weapons arsenal. US President Barack Obama blamed Syria, using of its chemical weapons. Finally Syria announced, they will agree with Russia and US.

Week 4 - Kerry: Talks on Syria chemical weapons 'not a game'

Sergey Lavrov, Russian foreign minister and John Kerry, US secretary of state talks on ending Syrian control of its chemical began in Geneva.
Sergey Lavrov is saying "it is necessary to involve in Syria and resolve the Syrian Civil War in violence; US and Russia need to find peaceful way to end the Civil War." Russian Minister didn't mentioned to use force or not, but he wanted to finish this war with peace. John Kerry is saying "This is not a game." US strongly assert their position, negotiation with Syrian government failed and it is necessary to use forces.

President Obama needs agreement with legislature (congress) to start a war with Syrian government. Syrian government didn't care much about the civil rights of citizens. I oppose a war with Syrian government because US is having a bad time with economy; they need to focus on economy, not a war.

Week 3 - 5 things on Syria: Obama overseas to developments at home

President Barack Obama is considering to declare a war against Syrian government. He already warned Syrian government not to use chemical weapons to citizens. Use of chemical weapon is recognized as illegal and has to be out of bounce in international community. Obama went to Sweden to discuss about balancing development, jobs, and economy. However, Obama put that aside and asking countries, involved in G20, to declare a war against Syrian government or not. Russia is refusing to agree with Obama because government that supports Syria is Russia. It will the main point whether Russia and US gonna act.

I think US government, president Barack Obama is acting wrongly. US always involved in previous war since George Bush. Why US has to be international guard in the world? US government needs to focus on their economy and employment. People are suffering from economic difficulties. US government needs to make plans to recover the economy rather declare a war against Syrian government. Barack Obama is waiting the congress to declare a war.
