Week 9 - Researchers: Jamestown settlers resorted to cannibalism

    In 1607, English arrived in Eastern part of America. They didn't want conflicts with Spanish or other settlers came before. English settles didn't have ability to farm or to make plantation. They only need was the gold luckily, John Smith was risen as the leader of Jamestown. They had difficulties from Natives and hunger ,but he organized and structured James town settlers to survive.
 
    In 1609, John Smith left James town for some reasons. After John left, James town didn't have the leader to lead. Between 1609-1610, tragic winter came through James town. They tried to eat everything that appears in wilderness. While hunting animals, Natives assault them. There were no foods to eat so they eat plants tasteless. Even meats and plants were gone, settlers killed people and eat human fleshes because there were no food.

le James town settlers are having hunger. They eat human fleshes and scholars discovered the bones where in trash place during 17th century. This event was necessary to survive and they needed to survive for their ambitions but 240 out of 300 died because of that winter, only 60 people survived.
